Hailey BlackPhotography Editor
I’m a senior double majoring in Studio Art and Art History and started photography around 12 years old. I’ve been working as the photography editor for Atlantis since 2014; I absolutely love looking at other people’s photos because it gives me and our viewers a glimpse at the world through their eyes. I paint and weld in my spare time, as well drink wine, and sometimes those activities coincide. I like downtown Wilm, fuzzy blankets, Italian food, and sharpie markers. Also, I’m a dog mom and I love it.
Raja JalernpanWeb Developer
Currently a sophomore at UNCW, Raja Jalernpan is pursing a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with a minor in Theatre. When not acting as the Web Developer and “techy” for Atlantis, Raja can be found working in the Theatre field as a Stage Manager, and Lightning Designer. He also serves as the Choreographer for various performance organizations on campus.
Nikki KroushlCopy Editor
Nikki is a freshman at UNCW studying Creative Writing, English, and German. Her other interests include costuming, pasta, em dashes, cats, and unnecessarily intricate planners. She’s at her happiest when she’s at her busiest and is beyond excited to be working on Atlantis alongside its talented staff.
Caroline OrthPoetry Editor
Caroline Orth is a poet and editor pursuing majors in English and Creative Writing and a Certificate in Publishing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In addition to her Poetry Editor post with Atlantis, she also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Second Story, an honors art and literature journal published out of the UNCW Honors College. Her favorite poem today is “Love Poem” by Jon Sands. Someone once told her she was a force to be reckoned with. She hopes and fears that this can still be true.
Layne SmithPromotions Cordinator
Layne is a sophomore at UNCW majoring in Communications Studies with a double minor in Spanish and Digital Art. She is the vice president of UNCW Writers’ Association, part of the Honors College, and Sigma Delta Pi. She plans to go into advertising and Digital media production.
